Author's Notes (contains spoilers):
Petra's story is one of my favourite. She was never meant to be heir, but after her father died this ghost child became all there was. Petra was the first child in this legacy to get an imginary friend in the mail, so I decided to let her marry the blue and orange Ziggy. Petra and Ziggy were always going to have as many kids as it took before they got one that wasn't a ghost. But after Felix was born I decided to just pick between the Esmeralda and Felix and have one more generation of ghosts. It was an accident that had Petra give birth to Anastasia. Ziggy's midlife crisis was always meant to be temporary and after it ended I wasted no time in bringing him home to his wife. The three chapters in Felix and Lexi's story were some of my favourite. I never intended Felix to be the heir, so this was just a bit of fun before Ana got home from  boarding school. Out of all the kids raised by Petra and Ziggy Felix and Lexi got along the best. So when Lexi rolled a want to flirt with Felix, I let her. And they were so happy together I let them get married and have a son, before they moved out to make way for Ana.
